Overview

This guidance will explain how to access reports within your pages on Learning Space and how to gather information about student activity (eg. last login, submission time etc).



Contents


Monitoring an individual learner's participation

1. Click on the Participants link In the top menu to open the user table.




The column 'Last access to module' shows the last time a student accessed the module.



2. Click on a user's name, then click on Complete report.


3. The report shows how that user has engaged with each activity and resource.



Monitoring Activity completion by all students

This report is only meaningful if you are using Activity completion systematically - that is, you have turned it on for each activity and resource, and have asked the students to mark the items as complete as they proceed through the module.


1. Click the Reports link in the top menu, then click Activity completion


2. You will see a comprehensive view of who has completed what.

Monitoring resource and activity usage

1. Click the Reports link in the top menu and select Activity report


2. You will then see usage figures for each item on the module's page.


Getting detailed logs

1. Click the Reports link in the top menu and select Logs


2. To generate a log, select any combination of student, date, activity, actions and level, then click the "Get these logs" button to retrieve the information.



3. You can export the data in multiple formats such as .csv, .xlsx, .ods and pdf. Scroll to the bottom of the page and choose the appropriate option from the list:



Click 'Download' to save the file.
