Video guide

This video gives an overview of the Scheduler Activity for students.

What is Scheduler?

The Scheduler Activity within Learning Space allows students to book 1 to 1 or group sessions with members of staff at allotted times. You can identify a Scheduler Activity by the calendar icon.

Using Scheduler

Access a Scheduler by clicking the title on the right hand side of the Scheduler icon. You will then be presented with a screen listing the available slots as well as start and end times and location.

In this example, 30 minute time slots are available to select from on Monday 17th and Monday 24th of July between 10.00 and 12.00.  To book a slot simply click the "Book slot" button next to the time you want to book.

The booking request will appear in the 'Upcoming slots' area on screen. If you change your mind about the slots you can navigate back to the Scheduler Activity and click "Cancel booking".

In the outlined example the staff member is only allowing one session per student, however some Scheduler Activities allow you to book more than one session in advance.

Viewing sign-ups in MyTimetable

Once you've booked a slot in the Scheduler Activity it normally takes 15-30 minutes for it to appear in MyTimetable.

To view these bookings first go to MyTimetable. Then from the Signups dropdown, ensure you have the checkbox ticked next to your name.
