Overview

This guide will show you how to upload a PDF to a post or a page hosted on your Journal site. The process for both is exactly the same. This method works only when using the standard block editor which is the default Wordpress editor mode when using Journal. This guide has both a video and a written explanation.

Uploading a PDF to a Page or Post

To upload a PDF to a post or a page first make sure you are logged in to Journal and on the correct site. Once you are on the post or page you want to edit click on the 'Add block' icon. Then click the 'Browse all' button. A menu of blocks will appear on the left hand side of the screen. Scroll down to the 'MEDIA' section and click on the 'File' icon.

A new tab entitled 'File' will appear in the main body of text. Click on the red 'Upload' button and you will be prompted to select a file from your computer. Select the correct file and click 'Open'. Once uploaded to the page you will see a black 'Download' button which works after you have published your post or page.

Once your page has been published you can click on the black 'Download' button or the name of the PDF. The PDF will then open up in the same window and you will be able to either view or download it.
