What is the Choice activity?

The Choice feature within Learning Space allows users to select from a variety of choices presented to them. An area that contains a Choice activity can be identified by a question mark icon.

Next you will need to provide a name for the Choice activity and a description, the latter could be used for explaining what the results of the choice will be used for. You can also select if you want the options to be displayed horizontally or vertically.

The next section of the settings relates specifically to the options themselves. First you can decide if you'd like individuals to have the option to update their choice after selection. Secondly, you can choose if participants can select more than one choice. Finally, you can set the individual choice options to have a limited amount of responses, by default all of these options are set to 'no'.

Further down this section you are able to specify the choices; you are able to give each a different name, and set limits if enabled.

The next section refers to availability of the Choice activity, by default the activity will be available from its creation until it is deleted but if you would like the options to be made available for a specific time only this is where you will need to set dates and times for publication.

The results section allows you to chose what happens once an individual has selected a choice option, by default the results are anonymous and not shown to students. If you would like to change this the settings in this section should be altered.
