Overview
When you record or upload a video to your personal My Folder in Panopto, the default ‘Restricted’ share setting is applied which means that it will remain private until you have selected who you want to share it with. This guide looks at the share settings available and takes you through the steps needed to change and apply a setting.

What share settings are available?
Panopto has five share options available for you to select from:
- Restricted: Share the video with specific people and groups as viewers.
- Your organization (unlisted): Anyone at your organization with whom you've shared the link.
- Your organization: Anyone at your organization can find and access the video.
- Public (unlisted): Anyone with whom you've shared the link can access the video.
- Public: Anyone can find and access this video.
How to change share settings
- Go to panopto.falmouth.ac.uk
- Login with your university username and password
- Click My Folder in the left menu
- Hover over your video and click the Share icon
- If you want to share with ‘only specific people and groups’, enter their email addresses in the ‘Add people and groups’ box
- If you want to share with a wider audience, click Change
- Then select the share setting you want to apply

- After you’ve changed the share settings, click the Copy Link button and share with those you want to give access to.
